Angela Ruan is a Staff Attorney in the Family Law Unit at Philadelphia Legal Assistance (PLA). She represents survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in divorce and support. Additionally, Angela supervises the Custody and Support Assistance Clinic where University of Pennsylvania Law students provide legal advice, customized pleadings and direct representation to PLA clients.

Prior to her time at PLA, Angela served as a law clerk to the Honorable Haekyoung Suh, P.J.F.P., Superior Court of NJ, Somerset County. During law school, she received APABA-PA’s William Marutani Fellowship. She also interned at various public interest organizations while in law school such as Philly VIP, Mazzoni Center, and SeniorLAW Center. Angela graduated from Drexel School of Law and received her BA from Rutgers University – New Brunswick.
