Welcome to the 2020 PLAN Virtual Statewide Conference

Pennsylvania CLE credits will be available to attorneys who actively participate in webinars and indicate their participation through polls displayed periodically during the webinars.

Queenette Echefu is the MLK and CLE Board Fellow through the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc. (PLAN, Inc.) Fellowship Program. She started her fellowship position in August 2019 at North Penn Legal Services (NPLS), Bethlehem, PA. Since her matriculation, Queenette has represented several clients in administrative hearings pertaining to unemployment compensation benefits and social security matters. She has been instrumental in drafting and filing expungement petitions, and subsequently receiving favorable decisions regarding such petitions. She has worked diligently with her fellow colleagues to provide advice to clients in matters in the following areas: housing; consumer advocacy; employment (barriers to employment and unemployment benefits); and social security.

Prior to joining NPLS, Queenette worked as a summer legal intern through PLAN’s 2018 MLK Internship Program at MidPenn Legal Services, Harrisburg, PA. At MidPenn, Queenette focused on family law issues. She drafted contempt petitions and other legal documents, as well as assisted clients with filling for custody. Queenette also worked as a summer legal intern in 2017 at the Office of General Counsel, Harrisburg, PA, where she was assigned to the Department of Aging. During her internship, she worked under Chief Counsel Neeka Jones, and composed data for the legal services needs of the department.

Queenette received her J.D. from Widener Commonwealth Law School in 2019. She also received her B.A. from John Jay College, New York, in 2011
